Kubota is a Japanese multinational company established in 1890. Kubota’s main aim is to enhance the quality of life for people and they saw a need in creating high quality and environmentally friendly small industrial engines when they were working closely with farmers. So, they invested in their research and development department resulting in a 19 kW diesel engine that passed the US CARD ULGE emission regulations, making them one of the top manufacturers in the world. Kubota started as a provider of services in areas of food and water. Kubota started manufacturing engines in 1922 when they were researching and developing an engine for agricultural and industrial use to help support them in their aim of providing their necessary solutions to people. In their embark on this journey they developed the Type A engine with 3 horsepower, and continued to develop a wide range of engines which are high output, compact, and lightweight, this has helped Kubota gain a high level of trust around the world. Kubota’s engines that are under 19kW are the first to pass the US CARB ULGE emission regulations, and they are one of the world’s top class manufacturers of compact diesel engines. To meet the wide array of needs in industrial engines, Kubota has created a spotless output assortment of up to 86.4kW engines that can run on both diesel and gasoline, they also created a product line that extended their products under the product line Kubota 09 series to engines up to 157.3 kW to meet customers needs. Moreover, Kubota holds themselves to environmental standards as their main aim is human welling being so they received the CARB certification of emission regulations (California Air Resources Board), making them the first in the world to get this certification for small industrial engines in 1993. Kubota still focuses on producing eco-friendly technology like reduced emission and hybrid power engines. Today, Kubota exports their engines worldwide and they have started producing engines in China and Thailand while they have 110 offices worldwide. They maintain their value of producing high quality engines and they have a wide range of engines for farms, construction, generators, and utility vehicles while also providing effective customer support with an array of services which include spare parts availability, and training programs to ensure that customers receive timely assistance and maintenance for their equipment.
Today, Kubota still focuses on making people’s lives better by producing, designing, and distributing eco-friendly and efficient engines worldwide while taking care of important issues like water conservation and agriculture.
